Slimming tea

The dream of many people is to lose weight without any effort, without limiting yourself with diets and without exhausting yourself with grueling workouts. A huge industry has formed around this desire, offering “miracle products for weight loss”. Perhaps, the most popular miraculous weight loss method is to drink a special slimming tea.

It seems that it’s a true blessing – you drink tea with cinnamon rolls and grow thin! But here’s something for you to think about:

The issue of weight loss has become relevant only in the last 40-50 years

Before that time, most people were concerned with another problem: how not to lose their weight and keep their strength until old age.

Skinniness was regarded as an illness and an inability to work. Tea was not consumed to lose weight. It was used to achieve vivacity, as a treatment and just for pleasure. Consequently, no ancient weight loss recipes can exist that were deliberately developed by Tibetan monks or the like.

These are marketing traps. When choosing a slimming tea, look through its composition without paying attention to beautiful legends.

Slimming teas are divided into three groups:

The actual teas, that is, the leaves of a tea bush or tree

A small group of non-tea teas

Herbal teas or mixes that contain several components

Chinese green tea, oolong and pu-erh

rooibos, mate and hibiscus

Drinks made of a variety of components, like medicinal herbs, berries, fruits, spices

With the correct application, they all help to lose weight to some extent, yet their unreasonable use will bring only harm. We investigated the topic of slimming teas and will gladly share all useful information with you.

CHINESE SLIMMING TEAS

Numerous modern studies that were held by scientists from Japan, China and Korea showed that any high-quality tea contains about 300 elements that are useful for humans. When we say high-quality tea, we mean fresh and properly made white and green tea, and oolong tea.

If you respect these conditions, any tea will help you lose weight, regardless of the variety. In other words, the weight normalization is only a side effect of a good tea. First of all, it:

  • provides vitamins and microelements,
  • lowers blood cholesterol level,
  • normalizes metabolism,
  • accelerates fat burning,
  • protects cells from damage with free radicals,
  • gives vivacity for active life and exercise.

With regular consumption of white, green or oolong tea, excess weight goes away gradually and surely. At the same time, you do not need to count calories and go on a weight loss diet. It is enough to exclude:

  1. fast food,
  2. semi-finished products,
  3. sweets made with margarine,
  4. adding sugar to your tea.

However, properly brewed tea does not need sugar, since it is delicious without it. To achieve a sustainable result, you should consume freshly brewed tea every day and replace all other drinks with it.

To lose weight with the help of Chinese tea, choose only fresh green teas. After a year of storage, the amount of nutrients in tea significantly reduces. Naturally, the tea should contain no flavors, dyes and other additives.

As a rule, the manufacturers add flavors to the tea, which is several years old. Fresh tea does not need it, since it has a very bright own flavor. And forget about the tea bags. Such tea will not allow you to lose weight at all. The brewing method also affects the properties of tea.

Take note!

  • Drink only freshly made tea, which was infused for several seconds.
  • After the first brewing, good tea can be brewed many times – up to 10.
  • Do not brew green tea or oolong to bitterness.Bitter taste means that harmful substances have come out in the infusion. Over-infused tea will not accelerate weight loss, and can damage the stomach and intestines.
  • It is not recommended to drink green tea on an empty stomach, since it activates digestion. The best time to have it is 20-30 minutes after a meal.

PU-ERH FOR WEIGHT LOSS

The most effective tea for weight loss can be called Sheng Pu-erh, that is, raw Pu-erh, made of the leaves of tea trees. For many centuries, there was no other tea except the raw Pu-erh, so all that we know about the benefits of tea is related to it. This tea:

  • lowers blood cholesterol level,
  • normalizes blood pressure,
  • regulates heart rate,
  • cleanses and strengthens blood vessels,
  • activates digestion and facilitates the absorption of heavy food.

Complement these with higher level of physical activity and proper nutrition and get an excellent weight loss program without side effects.

PU-ERH

The ability of the Pu-erh to fight excess weight was proved by French scientists from the ARMA organization back in 1990. Within 3 months, patients lost 4 to 10 kg due to drinking it 3 times a day, every day. Since then, Pu-erh has been widely used in French weight loss rehabilitation centers.

Until recently, Shenh Pu-erh was almost unknown outside of China, and we could find only the Shou Pu-erh (black tea). The latter tea variety was subjected to accelerated fermentation and changed its composition:

  • It also contains useful substances, but not as much as the raw Pu-erh does.
  • It has tannic properties and gently affects the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines.(You can drink it to address digestion issues.)

To lose weight with the help of Pu-erh, no matter green or black one, you need to choose and make tea correctly. Due to the growing popularity of Pu-erh, the amount of fakes and simply poor-quality tea is staggering. The best way to protect yourself from fakes is to choose a good supplier and feel free to evaluate the tea in appearance and aroma.

  • High-quality Pu-erh is pressed very carefully.
  • You can see individual leaves.
  • The aroma can be herbaceous, smoky, fruity, chocolate, and in no case fishy, musty or earthy.

Having chosen a high-quality Pu-erh, you have to make and drink it in the right way

Take note!

  • You can make your tea by boiling. Take a small piece of Pu-erh and boil it in a jezve, like coffee, after pre-crumbling it and rinsing with cold water.
  • You can brew Pu-erh in a pot, drain the first brew and then brew repeatedly for several seconds.
  • Like green tea, you should not drink Pu-erh on an empty stomach.Wait 20-30 minutes after the meal.
  • You can consume raw Pu-erh with food, especially meat dishes. It will help digest proteins and fats, and fat in turn will help to assimilate vitamin E, found in the tea.

For a sustainable result, it is good to combine Sheng and Shou Pu-erh. In the morning, at breakfast, better have Shou Pu-erh – it will warm up the digestive tract and give you vivacity. In the middle of the day, brew Sheng Pu-erh and have it during or after lunch. If you are used to have a hearty dinner, combine it with Sheng Pu-erh – it will help not to overeat and effectively absorb all the useful substances.

  • It is not recommended to consume Pu-erh before going to bed.

ROOIBOS, MATE AND HIBISCUS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

A small group of so-called non-tea teas, which includes rooibos, mate and hibiscus, also can assist your weight loss process. Do not rely on them completely and drink several times a day. Yet, it useful to include them in your diet from time to time, as an additional weight loss tool. With a reasonable use, they will not bring any harm – all these teas are tested by many generations of people.

HIBISCUS

The African tea rooibos invigorates and tones you up, yet it does not contain caffeine. It contains many antioxidants, fluoride and copper. It is a great drink for those who are on a weight loss diet. The presence of glucose in Rooibos allows having it without adding sugar. Rooibos can be brewed like tea or boiled like coffee.

The South American drink mate is rich in vitamins, calcium and phosphorus, which will be very useful when these substances lack in your slimming diet menu.Mate invigorates well and helps to lead an active lifestyle despite the diet. Mate is brewed in a special container – calabash – and is drunk through a metal straw – bombilla.

Tea of hibiscus flowers (Sudan rose) contains vitamin C and many trace elements, regulates blood pressure, reduces blood cholesterol levels, and improves skin and hair. It’s a mild diuretic, and you should not abuse it. Hibiscus should be brewed like green tea – not too long and not with a hot water.

HERBAL TEAS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

The composition of phyto tea and slimming tees can include many components, and they all must be specified on the package. By law, the manufacturer has no right to withhold the “secret ingredient”. While choosing tea for weight loss, you will be surprised how many familiar plants are listed in the ingredients lists:

fennel, dandelion, chamomile, linden, nettle, elderberry, cherry, corn silk, cowberry, mint, thyme, St. John’s wort, tarragon, fleawort, ginger, cinnamon, citrus zest, anise, cloves.

The same herbs and spices are used in ordinary herbal teas for taste, aroma and prevention of various diseases. If all the elements of tea are familiar to you, you know about the reaction of your body to them, you can safely drink it – every day for 7 to 10 days, 20-30 minutes after a meal or shortly before meals (without sugar and treats, of course).

After several such courses, the result will certainly appear. Even if you do not manage to obtain a significant weight loss, you will not bring any harm to your health and will not buy a pig in a poke at the price of black caviar. Even better, if you make your herbal tea for weight loss of herbs and berries, collected with your own hand.

HERBAL TEAS

In addition to our good old familiar ingredients, some slimming teas may contain an exotic element, for example:

  • Goji berries,
  • Garcinia Cambogia extract,
  • Luffa fibers,
  • Poria cocos.

You can notice other beautiful names that increase the cost of the mixture by an order of magnitude, yet do not guarantee effectiveness and safety. These exotic supplements are at best completely useless, and we don’t want to discuss what can happen at worse. For example, goji berries are best not to brew, but to eat them whole, while luffa fibers are just a simple sponge.

WHAT IS THE DANGER OF SLIMMING TEAS?

Even a simple herbal tea for weight loss should be drunk in short courses: 7-10 days, with breaks that last the same amount of time. Violation of this rule can lead to dehydration of the body, as many components of herbal teas for weight loss provide diuretic and laxative effects.

No less serious threat is the deficit of proteins, potassium, vitamins and other nutrients.

Abusing the tea may not allow our body to assimilate them from food, which results in:

  1. muscle weakness,
  2. low blood pressure,
  3. weakened libido,
  4. impaired renal function,
  5. irritable bowel syndrome,
  6. exhaustion.

Regular consumption of exotic slimming teas can cause the most unexpected consequences. Do not experiment with your health, especially since the weight that you lose in an extreme manner has the property of returning at an even larger amount.

DANGEROUS SLIMMING TEAS

A separate category of teas for weight loss can be very dangerous. If a slimming tea contains senna (Alexandrian leaf), rhubarb root or castor oil, it means that this tea has a powerful laxative effect. Such teas are used for a quick intestine cleansing.

Long-term use threatens with:

  • colicky pain,
  • inflammation of the intestines,
  • diarrhea,
  • dehydration,
  • impaired renal function,
  • severe exhaustion.

With the regular intake of such teas, the ability of the intestine to absorb vitamins and other substances from food is impaired, the entire body suffers from a lack of nutrients. Of course, you do lose weight, and you lose it quite fast, but first of all the body loses fluid and muscle mass, malnutrition negatively affects the nerve cells and primarily the brain, the skin becomes dry and faded, you don’t have enough forces, and your spirits are low.

Long-lasting weight loss through such barbarous ways can damage your health severely, and when you get back to your usual nutrition, your excess weight will come back and bring a few more kilograms with it. To avoid this, carefully study the list of ingredients and avoid aggressive slimming tea for too long.
